I love #LFW and I love seeing awesome people doing so well like Pippa Melody modeling for Regina Pyo!
London has been buzzing with London Fashion Week since last week. I went to see a few presentations to investigate a growing trend – fashion and interiors becoming increasingly aligned.
The first show I saw was Regina Pyo’s AW2016 presentation at Conde Nast College in Soho. Regina was inspired this season by the idea of women through the ages having quite similar dreams and aspirations, despite living in very different times. Whether it be a girl working in the present day or a girl working in the Brancusi atelier in the 1920’s, the mood and desires are very similar. Rejina seeks to explore the notion of a strong, characterful woman who transcends time and place. I think this was captured beautifully in her unique approach to womenswear: crisp cotton pieces that are accentuated with contrast stitching throughout.
I was also taken in awe by the set design. The furniture arrangement also brought Rejina’s concept to life, the natural colours of the backdrop and chairs fuse Rejina’s concept with the times they transcend.”
